PRESTIGIOUS SURROUNDINGS
|
|
|
To reach Borgo Santa
Caterina, drive through the Pagnano forest up to Colle
di Sant'Anna, dominated by Villa degli Armeni.
From via Santa Caterina, between Casa Longobarda and Villa
De' Mattia, turn into the suggestive route that leads to
the Borgo.
It lies in a particularly privileged area of the old town
centre, just a stone's throw away from Piazza Maggiore in
the midst of an oasis of nature.
The landscaping, featuring native vegetation and a careful
selection of trees, hedges and flowers, highlights the importance
and prestige of the area.
The hill on which Borgo Santa Caterina is being constructed
is enhanced by slopes covered with cypresses, deciduous trees,
hedges and bushes which are perfectly integrated into the
surrounding countryside.
There are two different ways of reaching Borgo Santa Caterina.
The first leads directly to the basement garages while the
second, for pedestrians only, runs beside the balustrade
of the Belvedere to the
main square, a pleasant and romantic meeting place.

AT
ASOLO, WHERE THE FILIPPIN SCHOOLS ONCE STOOD ... NOW,
BORGO SANTA
CATERINA
IS BEING BUILT |
| |
|
|
For decades, this area
housed the famous Mons. Filippin School, a prestigious
teaching institute founded in the Fifties, of which just
one abandoned building remained. Today, after five years
of painstaking architectural, environmental and landscape
design and recovery, construction work has begun.
